Thirty-six pioneers under Arthur C. Forsblad.
The first Fresno Normal School band forms with thirty-six charter members, planting the seed of what will become a century-long tradition of Bulldog music.

Budget cuts silence the marching band.
For one painful season, the program goes dark. Dr. Sutherland keeps the embers alive with a small "Spirit Band" at the games — a quieter sound, but the same heart.

1993 The ComebackIII. Movement Three Vivace risoluto
The Bulldog Marching Band returns — and the Bulldog Beat is born.
Dr. Gilroy arrives, rebuilds the program from the ground up, and launches the Bulldog Beat alongside it. The march is on again.
